This is the game that should need no introduction. If you haven't played Scorch, then you just don't know what the jazz is all about. However, I'm going to assume that you are completely unfamiliar with classic shareware games for DOS and proceed with the review.

Okay, so you have a little tank on a hill, and there are a bunch of other little tanks on other hills, and you pick and angle and power (Gorillas-style) and blow the crap out of the other tanks. Fun, no? Hell yeah!

Blowing a sufficient amount of crap out of other tanks gets you money, which you can use to buy better gear: nukes, rollers, napalm, guidance systems, shields, and everyone's favorite, the funky bomb. Each of these has its own properties and lends itself to a different strategies.

Dozens of tactical toys to play with, plenty of gameplay options, and comical special effects make this a winner.

You should include version 1.2 on this site. I think it's a lot better than 1.5.

Rights and Responsibilities

Feel free to read and/or respond to my messages. Even though I'm only posting them so that I may enjoy reading them over and over, I wouldn't mind (well, not much) if you felt any desire to read them.

If you see anything that might be incriminating, though, put your hand over your eyes so you can't read it, or do the same if I post with the header "DO NOT READ THIS! THIS MEANS YOU!" Then you probably shouldn't read it.

Thank you for your understanding

Turn the sky Hell Fire RED!!!

Scorched Earth is truly the "Mother of All" games. this game clearly promotes pointless violence an destruction. "Hell Yea" If it had not been for Scorched Earth, I would never have known the beaty of computer games. It was the first game that caught my attention years ago when it was on everyones' lips. It is a true classic, an i salute you for carrying the joy to computer gamers who play this for the first time. It is truly a unique experiance ('cept fer Unreal Tourny ).

Remember...?

The most beautiful premise a game ever had: Here are tanks. Blow things up.

Remember, in the Time Before, when I used to anger all the plebians, or at least ILoveAlienWorlds, by filling up the latest comments column? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! !!!
